Louisburg, KS has a small community type of feeling located within 40 minutes of downtown Kansas City, making it a great place to live, yet close enough to big city amenities.  It is home to the Louisburg Cider Mill and Country Store.  It is famous for it’s Apple Cider, Fruit Butters, and Lost Trail Sodas.

Enjoy the Aquatic Center for your summer fun.  It is a seasonal, outdoor pool and features a zero-depth entry, 3 slides, diving board, concession stand with tables, lockers, men’s and women’s bathhouse, and family restroom.  A playground and sand volleyball court are also located outside the pool area.

City Park is a historic city park located in the heart of original Louisburg. The park hosts a covered shelter, BBQ grill, playgrounds, lighted tennis court, basketball court, and park seating underneath a canopy of established 100-year-old oak trees. A popular location for summer concerts and frequent picnicking, this little park remains a local favorite.

The 23-acre City Lake features a 1.33 mile trail that loops around the lake. Fishermen may try their luck from the banks of the lake, which is regularly stocked by the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks & Tourism. A Kansas fishing license is required. Ron Weers Park, featuring a shelter house and playground, is also located at City Lake. There is also a Little Free Library located near the parking lot. The City Lake is also home to The Little Round House, a historical structure that served as a point of entry into the state for many years.

Within 40 minutes of the city is Country Club Plaza and Crown Center with shopping, dining, and entertainment.  Crown Center and Union Station have several free attractions:  Hallmark Visitors Center, Kaleidoscope, Kids Play area, Model Trains, and Money Museum.

Both the KC Royals and the KC Chief Stadiums are within 45 minutes of Louisburg for the sports enthusiasts in your family.
