Hunt for one-of-the-kind treasures on the walkable, tree-lined streets and the eclectic mix of shops and services of Downtown Overland Park, wander through Oak Park Mall, and pop in the mix of locally-owned boutiques sprinkled throughout The Park.

Overland Park’s two community centers provide fun activities, opportunities to stay fit, rental rooms for your special event, and more.  Over 10 miles of trails and 83 parks and open spaces, offer residents a place to run, walk, bike, hike, fish, and play outside.  Also available are 3 outdoor pools for your summer enjoyment and 1 indoor pool.  For your furry friends try out the Thomas S. Stoll off-leash dog park.

The City of Overland Park owns and supports two of the most popular golf courses in the Kansas City metropolitan area: Sykes/Lady Overland Park Golf Club and St. Andrews Golf Club.  Additionally there are several private courses to enjoy.

The Blue Valley school district is one of the best rated school districts in the U.S.

Health care, retail trade, professional and technical services, finance and insurance, and information technology are the city’s five largest industries.  Companies with headquarters in the city include Yellow Corporation, Black & Veatch, Waddell & Reed, Ferrellgas, Ash Grove Cement Co, and Compass Minerals.

Overland Park is approximately 30 minutes from downtown Kansas City, MO home to the Country Club Plaza and Crown Center with shopping, dining, and entertainment.  Crown Center and Union Station have several free attractions:  Hallmark Visitors Center, Kaleidoscope, Kids Play area, Model Trains, and Money Museum.

Both the KC Royals and the KC Chief Stadiums are within 40 minutes of the city for the sports enthusiasts in your family.
